Abstract
In this paper, a non-linear buckling problem of a symmetrically laminated, cylindrically orthotropic, truncated, shallow, spherical shell with a rigidly clamped outer edge and a non-deformable rigid body at the center under the action of uniform pressure, taking into account the effect of the transverse shear deformation, has been solved by the modified iteration method. Finally, this paper discusses the effects of transverse shear on the buckling of the shell.
