Abstract
[The monstrilloid copepod Monstrilla spinosa was only known from one cold temperate site in the Northwestern Pacific (Aleutian-Oregonian Province), and has not been directly observed since its original description in 1967. This species was found in Bahia de Todos Santos, Baja California, Mexico, a new locality for the species in the Pacific warm temperate zone (Californian Province). The specimens (three females) differ from the type material in total length, antennular relative length, and cuticular ornamentation.
