Abstract

This letter discusses scalar fields on Riemann-Cartan space-times. By using a simple model, it will be shown that one has a paradox, one gets different results if minimal coupling procedure (MCP) is used in the equation of motion or in the action formulation. The problem is with the use of MCP in the action, namely with the measure of integration (volume element). A new procedure is proposed and due to it, new effects are predicted.
