Abstract

A special approach to suppressing multiple access interference (MAI) in a DS-CDMA receiver using an adaptive fractionally spaced (FS) filter with the LMS algorithm is analysed by computer simulation. Some theoretical results are confirmed. The unsuppressed part of the MAI does not depend on the signal-to-noise ratio, but on the number of users. An equivalent suppression is defined depending on the number of users-decreasing while their number increases.
