Abstract

The description of M1-radiative transitions between analog and Gamow-Teller states built on the ground state of a closed-shell nucleus is given within the continuum random phase approximation. For the parent nuclei 48Ca and 208Pn the reduced probabilities and partial widths are calculated using a phenomeno-logical partially self-consistent nuclear mean field and the Landau-Migdal particle-hole interaction.
