Abstract
In the paper, two kinds of linearization problems are investigated for nonlinear singular control systems. One of them is to change a nonlinear singular control system into a general linear singular control system without any further requirements, by using state-coordinate transformations. Another is to change such a nonlinear system into a controllable linear singular control system by using the same kind of transformations. Sufficient and necessary conditions under which both of linearization problems are solvable are derived. Some examples are provided to illustrate the results of the paper.
