Abstract
This paper presents the development of an On-line Supervision System for Benzol recovery plant (OSS-B), which provides the guidance for optimizing control and troubleshooting to the operators. OSS-B is the hybrid system which unified mathematical process control models (based on newly developed process models) and rule-based diagnosis models (based on operational know-how). The benefits of the installation of OSS-B are minimization of labor and energy, as well as stabilization of product quality.
