Considerable progress has been rnacle toward an understanding of the high energy phenomena of strongly interacting particles during the past few years. In particular, the differential cross sections for elastic proton-proton scattering have been measured over the whole range of scattering angles. l The differential cross sections for elastic jJ-P scattering can be classified into three regions according to their characteristic dependence on energies and scattering angles.
