Abstract

The article is devoted to one of the most pressing issues of modern philosophy, namely, the problem of forming the intellectual baggage of humanity. We are talking about intellectual revolutions, their nature and periods of formation. The authors use the method of philosophical reflection, relying on the primary sources of previous researchers of this process, starting with their conceptual analysis in order to trace the periods and characteristic signs of the development of these complex processes of human evolution and its intellectual background. The authors put forward the thesis that today humanity is on the threshold of the third intellectual revolution. This is confirmed by the active use of a new terminological dictionary, which has already become an "everyday" part of our life, despite the fact that it is the result of the development of high information technologies. The idea that the transformation of the thinking of individual people who work and think under new conditions is caused by science and high technologies is also emphasized. This factual material directly and indirectly "influences" changes in the nature of thinking of broad sections of society, and, as a consequence, adaptation to transformations in the heuristic sphere covers huge masses of people.
