Abstract

In this paper, we prove a conjecture of Sun concerning the arithmetic progression of integers which contains no integers of the form [Formula: see text]. In fact, we show that [Formula: see text] has at least two distinct prime factors whenever [Formula: see text], where [Formula: see text] is a Fibonacci number and [Formula: see text] and [Formula: see text] are suitable positive integers.
