Abstract

This paper generalizes a Lyapunov characterization for output-stable systems. A variant of input-to-state stability (ISS) known as input-to-output stability (IOS) is considered. A Lyapunov characterization of IOS under a uniform bounded input bounded state (UBIBS) condition has appeared in the literature. We present a more general characterization, which holds for systems which are not necessarily uniformly bounded.
