Abstract

ABSTRACT This short commentary on this Special Issue highlights realms of uneasiness that current recalibrations of Political Theology can bring forward. The grammar of unease here discussed points to possibilities for affective counter-hegemonic power, to new theopolitical reading of Black religious movements (where there were previously none), to (self) estrangement as practice and analytics, and to critiques of a vagueness of whiteness as it exceeds socialized speech. Overall, the articles that constitute this special issues are vibrant examples of what current Political Theological work can offer in a productive engagement with multiple disciplines.
