Abstract

The present letter proposes a novel method for output tracking control of Lotke-Volterra systems with guaranteed input-to-state stability (ISS) of the internal dynamics. This method uses a new concept named output ratio, instead of the output error, which provides an additively separable control law composed of a pure state feedback and a pure signal of the desired output and its derivative. The given approach makes ISS analysis of the internal dynamics more easier than the conventional methods. The only scalar tunable parameter of the introduced output tracking controller should be chosen in a way that satisfies a linear matrix inequality to guarantee ISS of the closed-loop system. Two illustrative examples are given to demonstrate effectiveness and extendibility of the proposed results in comparison with the existing conventional methods.
