Abstract

Aberrations of rays reflected in a Cauchois scheme are considered on the basis of geometrical concepts of propagation of X-rays. It is shown that geometrical aberration can exceed the Borman delta width as well as the diffraction width of the focus. To reduce the influence of aberrations, the beam should be collimated to a certain diameter.
