Abstract

In this paper we investigate whether the distance between fuzzy code words, fuzzy subsets of n-tuples over a set F, is dependent upon the dimension of the space as well as the distance between the non-fuzzy code words on which they are based. This is done for both asymmetric errors and unidirectional errors. The results are compared and contrasted with the work of von Kaenel [3] on fuzzy codes for symmetric errors.
