On free-space Green's functions of a transversely isotropic elastic medium subjected to torsionless ring-like loading

Abstract

In this paper we deal with the one of the ways to obtain a free-space Green's function of a transversely isotropic infinite elastic medium which is subjected to a ring-like axisymmetric loading. We assume that the loading is torsionless. To solve the problem, we introduce two potential functions and apply the Hankel and the Fourier transforms. As a special case we solve the same problem of the isotropic medium.
