Abstract

This paper considers reset rules design for linear systems for the purpose of improving L2 gain performance. Novel Lyapunov-based reset rules are proposed such that the L2 gain performance of reset control systems can be improved compared with the stable base systems, and the proposed method is then extended to observer-based design. Moreover, reset rules design for stabilizing unstable base systems are proposed such that prespecified L2 gain performance can be achieved. Illustrative examples are given to support our results.
