Abstract

Since the effect of phase interrelation was not considered in hydrodynamic calculations of multiphase flows, such phenomena as mass transfer and migration of the particles of dispersed phases along the cross-section of the flow are related to the hydrodynamic paradox and the calculations did not meet the requirements of engineering practice. The paper reviews the issues of the formation of structural regimes in the vertical upward multiphase flow considering the effect of phase interaction (Bernoulli principle). The speed of transfer of the particles of dispersed phase into the flow core and the factors affecting them were estimated as well.
