Abstract
A bilinear slipping law is proposed in which the effect of shear deformation in the matrix is simulated by introducing the effective interfacial shear module G. The axial stress and displacement in the fiber can be predicted more accurately. The determination of G is based on a more rigorous two dimensional analysis. The fiber bridging stress is then calculated based on the new model
