Abstract

The article presents new experimental results on the penetration of vertical plane and circular turbulent jets through a free surface of a liquid in relatively narrow channels of different extent with a overflow weir runoff mode. The behavior of the obtained experimental correlations for the period of arising self-oscillating flow modes is discussed. The analysis of a number of discovered features of the considered flows is carried out.
