Abstract

Troposphere scatter communication is a kind of over-the-horizon communication depending on the medium inhomogeneity of the troposphere. By the acoustic wave, the inhomogenous layers with different dielectric constants can be formed artificially, which causes the coherent addition of reflection signal and enhances the radiation energy of the scattering wave. According to the turbulent flow theory of the troposphere scatter communication and the reflection theory of the radio wave propagation, the numerical calculation shows that the receiving power obviously increases when the acoustic source is used. The troposphere scatter communication by the acoustic wave interference can change the dielectric constant of the inhomogenous volume in the atmosphere. As a result, the performance of the troposphere scatter communication system is improved and the reliable communication is achieved.
