Abstract

The singular integral equation technique is modified to use for mathematical modelling of the plane linear polarized EM wave scattering by the simplest multi level coplanar system of flat impedance strips. The scattering problem is formulated in classical and rigorous form of two-dimensional external mixed boundary problem for the Helmholtz equation on corresponding coplanar system of segments. The main attention is focussed on the plane H-polarized EM wave scattering by the simplest strip systems. Rigorous asymptotic model of the wave scattering by electrically narrow impedance strips system, which has an explicit solution, is considered in detail.
