Abstract

We introduce the output-nulling (A,E,Im B)-invariant subspace pair for singular systems, and show the importance of the supremal pair of them in describing the disturbance localization problem. We provide some geometric analysis on the solvability of disturbance localization via a state feedback in a linear time-invariant singular system with direct feedthrough. For the case when the initial condition is appropriate, this paper develops a separate necessary and sufficient condition for the problem.
