Abstract

In past one decade some studies have been reported on the use of thermoplastic composite slit as a guide vane in electrochemical machining (ECM) process (for controlling the ion dissolution by flow rate of electrolyte and tool movement) for tuning of machining characteristics such as: dimensional stability, surface porosity, surface roughness etc. But hitherto little has been reported on development of correlation matrix for tuning of such machining characteristics in ECM. In this work, analysis of variance (ANOVA) followed by multi response optimization has been performed on ECM input process parameters based upon previous published data. Finally, co-relation matrix has been developed for better decision-making in tuning of machining characteristics in modified ECM.
