Abstract

For calculating the increase in critical resolved shear stress of alloys containing coherent distorted particles, it is not allowed to consider the dislocations as rigid lines. The flexibility of the dislocation must always be taken into account. For this reason, all calculations, making the assumption of rigid dislocations are in general not able to describe the increase in critical resolved shear stress due to the distortion field of the particles.
