Abstract
There are two kinds of closing method for a given braid <TEX>${\beta}{\in}B_{2n}$</TEX>, a braid closure <TEX>$\hat{\beta}$</TEX> and a plat closure <TEX>$\bar{\beta}$</TEX>. In the article, we find a relation between the Conway potential function <TEX>${\nabla}_{\hat{\beta}}$</TEX> of braid closure <TEX>$\hat{\beta}$</TEX> and <TEX>${\nabla}_{\hat{\beta}}$</TEX> of plat closure <TEX>$\bar{\beta}$</TEX>.
