Abstract

The effect of particle and gas turbulence (turbulent kinetic energy and its isotropic viscous dissipation rate) is incorporated into the formulation of boundary conditions of particle motion and collection in a cyclone separator, which shows that these turbulence parameters are related to the probability of deposition or sticking probability. Hence a collection efficiency can be calculated.
