Abstract

The nonlocal gauge group of unitary integral operators Un (∞) is considered. Gluons in the nonlocal version of QCD are described by the bilocal gauge fields (BGF). The Higgs effect for BGF are discussed. It is shown that the local SU(n) gauge theory can be treated as a local limit of spontaneously broken Un(∞)/SU(n) BGF theory.
