Abstract

In a previous paper on the subject Bernoulli's method was extended to cover those cases in which there were several roots of equal largest modulus. The method had an advantage over Graeffe's method in that it dealt only with the original roots, and the disadvantage that there was a lower order of convergence. The present paper is concerned with the elimination of this disadvantage. Certain considerations relative to computer applications are also discussed.
