Abstract

Abstract The barrier penetrabilities for some nuclei have been calculated by numerical integration in the W.K.B. approximation. The existence of nuclear, coulombian and centrifugal potentials for both even-even and odd nuclei has been assumed. The relative intensities of favoured alpha transitions for five odd nuclei have been calculated by using the intensities of favoured alpha transitions of the corresponding five even-even nuclei. The theoretical results are in good agreement with the experimental data.
