Abstract
Axially symmetric gauge field configurations are studied using generalized selfduality conditions for 4 p dimensions ( p = 2,3,…). A generalization of the Liouville equation arising for p = 1, is found. The dimensional reduction to a monopole in seven dimensions is performed. Uses of a coordinate transformation compactifying the time domain, are indicated.
