Abstract
The interrelations between physical culture and physical education are revealed. A special literature has been studied, which highlights various aspects of people's activity with the use of physical exercises. The results indicate that the proper theory is not formed, which would describe the field of activity of people associated with the use of physical exercises, as a holistic phenomenon. It is shown that one of the main components of family education is physical (bodily) education. The main prerequisites for the introduction into the national education system of special sessions with the use of physical exercises are singled out.
