Abstract

In general, analyzing the potential flow past a wedge is described by the well-known Falkner–Skan boundary value problem (FBVP). However, there exist no findings in the literature concerning the FBVP predicted by homotopy analysis method (HAM) and truncation technique, namely, tHAM. Accordingly, the main focus of this paper is on the validity and effectiveness of tHAM through some direct comparisons. It is concluded that the tHAM is a useful tool for obtaining convergent series expansions as well as reducing the central processing unit (CPU) time.
