Abstract
In this paper we consider approximate solutions for optimal control problems for systems governed by a class of nonlinear functional differential equations of neutral type. The class of equations studied here is motivated by equations arising in the modeling of initial-boundary value problems for lossless transmission lines terminated by lumped nonlinear elements. Numerical findings on several selected test problems are included. >
