Abstract

A problem of automatic on-line PI-controller parameters tuning for heating plants control is considered. Such adjustment is proposed to be made with the help of neural tuner including two neural networks. Each of them is responsible for KP, KI values calculation for furnace heating and cooling processes respectively. The structure of the proposed tuner is shown. Two muffle furnaces functioning in different modes are used as plants. The results of experiments make it possible to conclude that proposed neural tuner helps to achieve at least 3% and 5% decrease of time amount and energy consumption respectively in comparison with a conventional PI-controller.
