Abstract

This paper focuses on AP buffer effect upon TCP fairness over WLAN, and proposes an estimation algorithm of AP buffer size for TCP fairness over WLAN based on average window size. The key contribution of our algorithm is that it uses the relation of average drop rate to average both window size and used window size, and employs the limited condition of average window size for TCP fairness. Accuracy of the algorithm is analyzed by NS2 simulation. The algorithm is helpful to the solution of TCP fairness. (4 pages)
