Abstract
The main purpose of this paper is to extend the Sturm comparison theorem for second-order differential equations to the equation $Ly + p(t)y = 0$, where L is a disconjugate linear differential operator.of order n, $n \geqq 2$, and where $p(t)$ is a continuous function of constant sign.
