Abstract

This paper will deal with a locally constrained inverse curvature flow which keeps the convexity and preserves the enclosed area of the evolving curve, and the limiting curve converges to a circle in the C∞ sense. As applications of this flow, an inequality for the integral of the power of support function for convex curves and the classical isoperimetric inequality are obtained.
