Abstract

Abstract In power systems and control literature, wind turbine generator systems are studied extensively. The state equation of fixed-speed wind turbine-generator system consists wind, slip, voltage behind transient reactance as phase variables. In fixed-speed wind turbine-generator system the squirrel cage induction generator is used to generate electrical power. Here, we compare two double cage squirrel cage induction generators in terms of equivalent resistance and reactance. In this paper, first, we consider the fixed speed wind turbine-generator system (FWTGS) as a finite dimensional stochastic system. Secondly, the noise analysis of fixed speed wind turbine-generator systems using the Fokker-Planck technique is accomplished. This paper will be of interest to mechanists, control theorists, noise scientists looking for research in wind turbine generator systems under noise influences.
