Abstract

This paper is concerned with the regularity of transonic flows originated from the two-dimensional Riemann problem to the pressure-gradient system in gas dynamics. It is verified that, if the transonic solution of the pressure-gradient system is C3 in a neighborhood of a sonic point and is C∞ in the subsonic-sonic region, then the solution is also C∞ in the sonic-supersonic region near the sonic point.
