Abstract
The communication deals with the morphology, taxonomy and life cycle of a new septate gregarine Gregarina dasguptai n. sp. (Apicomplexa: Sporozoea) from a coleopteran host Coccinella septempunctata L. (Coccinellidae: Insecta). The trophozoites of the protozoon measure 66.69 to to 280.80 ym with an average of 144.34 ltm in length and have the following ratios: LP: TL = 1 : 2.76-6.15 (4.17) and WP: WD = 1 : 1-3.18 (1.69).
