Abstract

This paper presents the novel design of a baseband digital filter used in IS-95 CDMA (Code Division Multiple Access) systems to eliminate the Inter-Symbol Interference (ISI). The new structure is based on a modified Interpolation Finite Impulse response (IFIR) structure and rounding technique. The resulting filter is a multiplierless filter and consequently leads to a less design effort compared to the traditional filter design.
