Abstract

The collection of nanosize particles by a probe inserted in plasma is analyzed. Both negative and positive nanoparticle charges are calculated. The probe bias voltages of both negative and positive polarities, which are large enough to affect nanoparticle motion in the sheath, are treated. The model is based on the assumption that the sheath potential distribution is unaltered by the presence of the charged nanoparticles.
