On a class of locally projectively flat Finsler metrics (II)

Abstract

In this paper, we study a class of Finsler metrics called general (α,β)-metrics, which is defined by a Riemannian metric α and a 1-form β. We give an equivalent characterization of locally projectively flat general (α,β)-metrics on an n(≥3)-dimensional manifold, which generalizes some results in [8], [7] and [11], and obtain a series of new locally projectively flat Finsler metrics.
