Abstract

In this paper, the author takes quadratic curves as an example to show the influence of 3D reconstruction strategy on the quality of 3D data obtained. First, the author presents a closed form solution for the 3D reconstruction of quadratic curves. The author then introduces the use of a planarity constraint in order to improve the quality of 3D data related to quadratic curves. At the end of the paper, the author uses one example to give a comparison of different 3D reconstruction strategies.
