Abstract

We are all potentially older learners, and older people across Europe have begun to help us to consider less restrictive ways of thinking about the role of learning in our lives. As author Alexandra Withnall explores in this article, it is in our own best interests to ensure the continuation of debate about the meaning of learning in later life and the place of the post-work population in the learning societies of the future.
