He is author of the article on “The History of the Religion of Israel,” published in Volume I of The Interpreter's Bible, and numerous other writings. Dr. Mtrilenburg's connection with the National Association of Biblical Instructors may be traced back to the annual meeting of 1923 when he read a paper entitled “Teaching the Bible from the Literary Angle,” published in Christian Education (December, 1924). This puts Professor Muilenburg among the “Old Guard” of our Association and he has been one of its most loyal members.
