Abstract
The aim of this study is to teach the principals of primary education school the period how SWOT analyses is done by doing-experiencing and to examine obtained data and to get results about primary education schools. The research is qualitative study. The data of the research were collected from 517 school princpals from Amasya, Corum, Tokat provinces which are ISAP (Improving School Administration Project) that Primary Education General Management implemented primary education principals oriented. Content analysis was made of the views of school principals. According to the setting area of the schools which school principals work; strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats of primary schools have emerged and recommendations have been developed. When the views of the school principal were examined, according to the setting area of the primary schools (province / county town, town, village), strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats have changed. Zorunlu eğitim kademesi olan ilköğretimin amacı toplumdaki "ortak vatandaş tipi” ni yetiştirmektir. Göz önünde bulundurulması gereken konulardan bir tanesi de bu kurumların bulundukları yerleşim yerlerine göre (il/ilçe merkezi, kasaba, köy) durumlarının farklılık arz edebileceğidir Çünkü her ilköğretim okulu kendine has farklılıklar tgösterebileceğidir. Çünkü zayıf tarafların ortaya çıkarılması, uzun dönemli stratejiler ve planlar için ciddi güçlük ve sınırlamalara yol açacak sorunların çözülmesine doğru atılan bir adım olacaktır. 1.3.Problem Durumu İlköğretim okul müdürlerinin görev yaptıkları yerleşim yerine göre okullarının SWOT analizi nasıldır? Bu doğrultuda aşağıdaki sorulara cevap aranmıştır; İlköğretim okullarının güçlü yönleri, müdürlerin görev yaptığı yerleşim yerine (köy-kasaba-il/ilçe merkezi) göre nasıldır? İlköğretim okullarının zayıf yönleri, müdürlerin görev yaptığı yerleşim yerine (köy-kasaba-il/ilçe merkezi) göre nasıldır? İlköğretim okullarının fırsatları, müdürlerin görev yaptığı yerleşim yerine (köy-kasaba-il/ilçe merkezi) göre nasıldır?. İlköğretim okullarına yönelik tehditler, müdürlerin görev yaptığı yerleşim yerine (köy-kasaba-il/ilçe merkezi) göre nasıldır?. Araştırmanın amacı, uygulamada ki ilköğretim okul müdürlerinin görüşleri SWOT analizi ile elde etmek ve ilköğretim okulları hakkında sonuçlar çıkarmaktır
