Abstract
We give a version of Solerno's estimation of the Łojasiewicz exponent for a pair of continuous semialgebraic functions f and g on the set Ω={x∈Rn:|x|≤1} at point 0 in terms of the degrees of polynomials describing f and g and some sets X1,…,Xl such that Ω=X1∪…∪Xl.
