Abstract
Describes the structure, production, and development of eleven oil fields located in the state of Zulia, Maracaibo basin, western Venezuela. To the end of 1945 total production of the Maracaibo basin was 2,634.5 million barrels. A brief discussion of the origin of oil in the Maracaibo basin is included.
